Testimonial for Susann Remoy

"My son has been under the care of Susann Remoy at a Pre-School near Ilkley from September 2024 to September 2025. Throughout his time at pre-school, Susann has been a fantastic influence in his early years, and I cannot praise her highly enough. She has a unique way of engaging with the children—like a trusted aunty—sharing her knowledge and curiosity about the world in a way that sparks their imagination and builds their understanding. Whether it's answering questions about where paper comes from, how chocolate is made, or which animal is the fastest in the world, Susann always makes learning both fun and memorable.

She explains things with the perfect balance of listening and interaction, and the children genuinely absorb what she says.I have lost count of the number of times my son has come home saying, "Susann told me…"—a true reflection of the impact she has had on him. She has taught him things I wish I had more time to explain myself, and for that, I am deeply grateful. Susann's natural ability to connect with children, nurture their curiosity, and encourage their love of learning would make her an asset to any early years setting. She has been an invaluable part of my son's preschool journey, and I wholeheartedly recommend her."

Testimonial for Susann Remoy

"Susann Remoy has been one of the pre-school teachers at my son's pre-school close to Ilkley, between September 2024 and September 2025.

Susann's passion for teaching has been clear throughout her time at the nursery. She has brought thoughtful, structured learning interventions to the children, which have had a big impact on my son's development and enjoyment of the pre-school day.

Some of the highlights my son has particularly enjoyed and often talks about at home include:

  • Small world models – Susann creates imaginative 'small world' structures that prompt conversations on different topics. For example, her small world farm model introduced the children to lots of new ideas about animals and farming.
  • "Where does it come from?" projects – Susann has led fascinating sessions helping the children understand processes and origins. For instance, she taught them how chocolate is made, from cacao beans growing on trees to becoming a chocolate bar. Other topics included how clothes are made (from sheep's wool to finished clothing), where food comes from, and many more.
  • Songs and language – Susann has shared some of her own songs with the children (a "Giraffe called Geraldine" is now a firm favourite in our house!) and has also taught them songs in Norwegian and French.
  • Her teaching style – Susann is gentle, engaging, and ensures every child feels included. She has a wonderful way of nurturing curiosity and confidence in the children.

Since working with Susann, my son has grown enormously in both confidence and curiosity. Her calm, nurturing approach and genuine enthusiasm for teaching shine through everything she does.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Susann and very much hope our paths cross again in the future."
